Kiddie Climb 2019
We did it! We are so proud and overwhelmed that on the 22nd June 71 children ages 4 upwards as well as adults up to the age of 65 climbed mount Snowdon! What an achievement. The teams at Rose Blossom and Metro Rod pulled together to organise this great event and its safe to say it was a massive success. Not only did we raise a large amount this event has been a great way of raising awareness of dravet syndrome.
Kids are helping other kids, climbing for kids that can’t climb themselves! The pain, heat, sore legs, sunburn, aching muscles and blisters was so worth it as we did it for Darcie, Evie and other children suffering from Dravet!
Metrorod as sponsors are proud of every person that completed the kiddie climb!
Rose Blossom trust is very close to our hearts the trust was set up, to raise awareness about Dravet Syndrome and funds to support the Chapman family (founders of the trust) as well as helping other families similar to themselves.
The vision of the Rose Blossom Trust is to increase awareness of Dravet Syndrome which is a rare and catastrophic condition that affects only 1 in 40,000 people and to educate and share knowledge with the public about Dravet Syndrome, through the publicity created at fundraising events and the website and face book page. The intention is for the Trust to give a little ‘sunshine’ to families who care for a child or adult with Dravet Syndrome. Caring for those with Dravet is emotionally, physically and financially draining.
Lastly thank you to Rose Blossom Trust for allowing us to support and be involved.
