Here at Metro Rod Manchester and Macclesfield, unblocking blocked drains, carrying out CCTV drain surveys, and completing emergency plumbing work for our customers is a daily occurrence for us – 24/7 in fact! It’s not often that we get to do something a little bit different. That’s why our Marketing Coordinator, Alex Clarke will be taking part in this year’s CEO Sleepout® in Manchester to raise money for homelessness and poverty across the city.
Not a fan of text-heavy content? Why not see how Metro Rod Manchester and Macclesfield can help with your blocked drains here by watching this short animated video.
Initially designed for business leaders such as CEOs and senior level executives to help battle homelessness and poverty, Alex decided to take it upon himself to represent Metro Rod Manchester and Macclesfield this year, pledging to individually raise over £1,000 in the process. The funds raised will be distributed to a number of charities in Manchester and the North West, including the LCCC Foundation, Mustard Tree Manchester, and Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH).
Taking place on Monday 15th October at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, Alex will be taking an evening away from thinking about blocked drains and leaking pipes to give something back to the community on behalf of Metro Rod Manchester and Macclesfield, alongside an array of job roles, mainly consisting of CEOs and Managing Directors from businesses across the North West.
Alex had this to say about his commitment:
“Living a short trip away from Manchester, I've seen first-hand the problem with homelessness across the city centre alone and I think more can be done to house those affected. I’m really looking forward to taking part on behalf of Metro Rod Manchester and Macclesfield and giving something back for once. ”
You can make a donation to Alex’s JustGiving page here. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated as he strives to hit his ambitious target of £1,000!
