Cromer Beach Clean

7th December 2021

Cromer Beach Clean

Our 1st beach clean took place on a blustery Sunday in Cromer. Regarded as "The Gem of the Norfolk Coast" the wind swept cliffs and sandy beaches made for an idyllic back drop to our beach clean on the 21st November 2021. Sadly over the last few years the beach has seen a huge increase in litter from visitors and plastic washed up from vessels in the North Sea.

North Norfolk District Council kindly donated the use of litter pickers, hoops and recycled bags for collecting the rubbish; as well as arranging for all the litter collected to be taken away and recycled where possible. The attendance was remarkable and we saw in excess of 100 people, dogs and even Julie Reigner from BBC Radio Norfolk stop by.
