Metro rod are proud to be patrons of Rose Blossom trust, a trust that is close to the directors hearts. In 2015 Metro Rod decided to get involved with Kiddie Climb, where children aged 5-15 climb Mt Snowden to help raise money for Rose Blossom. In 2015 124 children climbed Pen-Y-Ghent in Yorkshire, the climb was extremely successful and in 2016 we decided to tackle Mt Snowden along with Joining Jack. A massive £5000 was raised for Rose Blossom Trust. The kids did an amazing job walking nearly 10 miles in gruelling weather conditions with temperatures of minus 3 at some points.
This year Metro Rod Mid Lancs are proud to sponsor Kiddie Climb 2019 climbing Mt Snowdon on 22/06/2019. Information on the kiddie climb can be found here:
We are hoping to raise £4000 and would love as many children and adults to join us climbing for a very worthy cause.
Rose Blossom Trust was set up, to raise awareness about Dravet Syndrome and funds to support the Chapman family (founders of the trust) as well as helping other families similar to themselves.
The vision of the Rose Blossom Trust is to increase awareness of Dravet Syndrome which is a rare and catastrophic condition that affects only 1 in 40,000 people and to educate and share knowledge with the public about Dravet Syndrome, through the publicity created at our fundraising events and our website and face book page. The intention is for the Trust to give a little ‘sunshine’ to families who care for a child or adult with Dravet Syndrome. Caring for those with Dravet is emotionally, physically and financially draining.
