By continuing to invest in the latest drainage surveying technology and purchasing a Mini-Cam Proteus Crawler system.  Metro Rod is able to keep ahead of the game and put your needs, as customers, first.

The new system can survey pipe diameters ranging from 150mm through to 1000mm. In addition to allowing for pan, rotate and zoom capabilities it also has an in-built multi-frequency sonde transmitter. In other words, there are ideal for above ground locating of defects as well as underground.

Some utilities and industrial clients that Metro Rod work with require a higher standard of safety. That is to say, safety is regarded in relation to potentially explosive gases that could be found.

Our Proteus Crawler camera is fully ATEX compliant for use in potentially hazardous zone 2 environments. To clarify this means that the camera is explosion-proof.

This survey technology equipment is stored in our fully customised vehicles. Consequently, a separate viewing/reporting studio is equipped in the vans along with a working area that holds all of the necessary equipment.

Moreover, the vans hold an in-built inverter battery power that enables silent system use in sensitive situations. For example, night-time and weekend work.
