Metro Rod Aberdeen Set for Record Year Under New Ownership
The new owners of Metro Rod Aberdeen, Graham and Lisa McGuiness say they are set for a record year having taken over the Metro Rod franchise in November last year.
The couple initially set up the Dundee office of the drainage and sewage pump specialists in March 2024. At the time the business operated with a team of two with one van. The business swiftly grew to a team of 11 engineers operating a fleet of 7 vehicles.
Since being granted the franchise for Aberdeen only a few months ago, the business has seen sales growth of approaching fifty per cent with engineers working across both areas.
Speaking about his plans for the Aberdeen office, Graham said, “Demand for our services comes from a wide range of businesses including the NHS, local councils and the hospitality sector as well as homeowners.
“For us, customer service is key and it’s the aspect of business we have built our Dundee business on and we are adopting the same approach in Aberdeen.”
“As well as recruiting a really strong team of engineers, we have invested heavily in specialist equipment; equipping us with some of the most advanced technology, including robotic root cutting and tanker services, to efficiently manage drainage and sewage issues.”
