We are so excited for the future of Liam!
Our player, Liam Marshall, has signed a new four-year deal with Wigan Warriors – playing until the end of the 2028 season which will be his 12th professional year playing for Wigan.
Marshall has had many memorable moments throughout his time playing for Warriors including scoring the winner in the 2022 Betfred Cup Final. In his early years he was top try scorer in 2019 scoring a whopping 17 tries in 24 games- repeating this in his 8th year this year scoring 19 tries.
Not only is Liam an outstanding rugby player but he is also admired for his kindness and humble ways. Whenever a member of our Metro Rod team has been in the company of Marshall there has been nothing but smiles and laughter and he is always making sure we are having the best time watching him take over the pitch. Liam is a massive inspiration to us all especially this year where his resilience really stood out to us with the loss of someone close to his heart then not longer after welcoming a baby into the world- yet this never stopped the Liam we all know and love.
We are so proud of Liam Marshall and how far he has come during his time with us and we can’t wait to see what’s next for him.
