Our sponsored player, Liam Marshall, has signed a new four-year deal at Wigan Warriors. He will be playing till the end of the 2028 season which will be his 12th professional year at Wigan. Previous to this Liam played for Wigan Warriors academy where he was named Wigan Warriors Young Player of the Year.
Marshall has had many memorable moments throughout his time playing for Warriors including scoring the winner in the 2022 Betfred Cup Final. He was also top try scorer in 2019 with a whopping 17 tries out of 24 games which he repeated for himself this year scoring 19 tries.
Not only is Liam admired for his outstanding rugby skillset, he is also admired for his kindness and humble ways. Whenever a member of our Metro Rod team have been in the company of Liam there has been nothing but smiles and laughter. He always makes sure we have the best time watching him play out on the pitch and brings positivity to us all. Liam is an inspiration to us all especially with his resilience this year with his loss not long before welcoming his baby into the world.
